Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadrami conferred on Monday with the UN's envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths over Safer oil tanker problem and UN-led peace efforts.
Al-Hadrami reiterated the government's keenness to establish genuine and permanent peace based on the references agreed upon, a peace that can ensure a secure future for the Yemeni people. He affirmed the government's support for the UN envoy's efforts and his endeavors including the proposal of the joint declaration.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the need for pressuring Houthi militia to allow the UN technical team access Safer oil tanker as four months have passed since the UNSC held session about it.
For his part Mr. Grifiths appreciated the government's constructive reactions to his efforts, underscoring the urgency for reaching an agreement about the proposal of the "Joint Declaration" to pave the way for realizing a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.
