RIYADH-SABA
Yemen’s Information Minister has called on the international community to break silence over the Iranian aggressions in the aftermath of Iran’s smuggling of one of its militants to Sana’a to serve as a military governor there.
In a statement to Saba, Muammar al-Eryani said the UN “should take a clear stance” on the matter. He said this Iranian escalation and the revealed intents to export arms to the Houthis makes the Yemeni crises one of “outright Iranian aggression” and “an Iranian attempt to wrest control of Yemeni territories.” He warned that Iran would turn Yemen into a launch pad for spreading terrorism and chaos in the region as well as threatening countries of the region and international shipping lanes.
