Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh met with the World Bank's Director for Egypt, Yemen, and Djibouti and his delegation in Aden to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in the health sector.
The meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health for Primary Healthcare, Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, and the World Bank's Country Director for Yemen, Dina Abu Ghida, focused on the challenges facing the health sector in Yemen, including the decline in donor support, weak infrastructure, and lack of resources.
Dr. Buhaybeh highlighted the priority areas for support, including primary healthcare programs, sustainable funding for healthcare facilities, and capacity building for healthcare workers. He emphasized the Ministry's commitment to developing a comprehensive vision for sustainable health development.
