Parliament Speaker reiterates support for UN Envoy's efforts to make peace

Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani reiterated the Yemeni Parliament's full support for the ongoing efforts by the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to achieve a comprehensive political settlement and avert Safer oil tanker looming disaster.
Al-Brakani voiced his statement as he met Wednesday with the Charged' Affairs of the British embassy in Yemen Simon Smart.
The meeting intended to discuss the developments in the Yemeni national arena including military, economic and humanitarian situations.
The discussions also touched upon underway steps to implement Riyadh Agreement.
Al-Brakani expressed his deep appreciation for the British support for the Yemeni people and the legitimate leadership headed by President Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi.
He also voiced thanks for the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for sponsoring Riyadh Agreement.
The British diplomat confirmed his country's support for the Yemeni people, legitimate government, the Unity, security and stability of Yemen.
He also stated that the UK is supporting the efforts have been made by the UN envoy Martin Griffiths to reach a comprehensive political settlement and put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering
