UN provides grants for women micro-enterprises in Abyan

With support from the United Nations Population Fund, at the headquarters of the Yemeni Women Union branch in the city of Zunjubar in Abyan province, grants were provided for micro-enterprises run by women victims of and vulnerable to violence.
The Secretary - General of the Local Council of Abyan Mahdi Al-Hamid and the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Women Union in Abyan Adila Al-Khader stated that the support comes within the framework of supporting and caring for 43 abused women and integrating them into society through various economic activities and projects in the fields of sewing, handicrafts and hairdressing.
