ADEN-SABA
Yemen's Government has condemned the meeting the ambassador of Switzerland in Tehran Markus Leitner held with the Houthi militia's self-styled ambassador, in Tehran Ibrahim al-Daylami on Sunday.
In a statement to Saba on Monday, Yemen's Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani said the meeting "is a naked violation of the diplomatic norms and of the UN resolutions concerning Yemen."
" And the clear Iranian role in arranging the meeting shows the persistent hostility of Iran against the Yemeni government and people," he said, recalling the Iranian record in supporting Houthis militarily and financially as well.
The Minister warned against any collusion by foreign diplomatic missions in Tehran with the Iranian regime's schemes to earn recognitions for the Houthi coupist militia and the Iranian devastating policy that threatens the regional and international security.
He called for respecting the will of the Yemeni people and the UN resolutions on Yemen, particularly resolution no. 2216 (2015).
