The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Guidance has condemned the Houthi extortion of pilgrims preparing to depart to Mecca for pilgrimages.
In a statement, the Ministry said the rebel militia "are imposing payments in an illegal way" on the agencies that provide services of travel for Omrah an Hajj (minor an major pilgrimage) to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry said those are "irresponsible behaviors" impact the pilgrims and violate their simplest rights as citizens in the militia-held territories.
