The National Mine Action Center and a Saudi demining project known as (MASAM) have destroyed thousands of Houthi-laid landmines they had distracted from Aljawf province in northern Yemen.

The director of the center Brig. Gen. Ameen al-Aqeeli told Saba the local experts in cooperation with MASAM destroyed thousands of landmines including explosive barrels , anti-armored vehicle landmines, anti-personnel landmines and UXOs extracted from three sites in al-Yatama district of Aljawf.
