Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Dr. Mohammad Zimam discussed on Thursday with Deputy Director of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Isabelle Durant possibilities of making use of the organization's experiments on improving financial system.
The two parties also discussed making use of the administrative system of the custom operations improved SKODA system and contribution of improving economic policies regarding the trade as Yemen one of importers of goods from different countries without benefits.
The two parties then agreed on commencing measures for linking the Central Bank of Yemen's system with Canvas system on managing the general debt and cooperation with custom authority for updating the automatic system in the bank's headquarter in Aden.
The UN official showed willingness of providing different help to Yemen as active participant and that the organization will gain utmost importance in participating of other donors during planning for reconstruction in Yemen.
She also extended a call to Yemen to attend the conference of investment due on October, which will be participated by the private sector and banks' sector.
She asked the government of Yemen to make a list for its priorities regarding transport, investment and financial sectors.
