Ambassador of Yemen to Berlin Dr. Yahya al-Shuaibi has expressed gratitude of Yemen's government to Germany for humanitarian assistances it provides to Yemeni people.
Germany is the third biggest country in terms of providing humanitarian assistances to Yemen, a matter reflects Germany's keenness on boosting relations.
In a meeting with Chancellor of the Federal Republic of German on Monday, the two parties discussed situations in Yemen and efforts of the UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith.
Ambassador al-Shuaibi expressed the government's hope of reaching permanent peace based on the three references led by the UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
For her part, Merkel expressed her great concern on Yemen and hoped quick peace solutions.
She also expressed deep sorrow over the difficult humanitarian situation in Yemen and hoped quick end of this tragedy thorough peace and ending the war.
