The Prime Minister Salem bin Braik expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as to the Saudi government and people for their generous support provided to Yemen and its people in various fields through strategic projects that have contributed toward enhancing services and development sectors, particularly the health sector.

Militia's harassments against relief organizations must be internationally condemned, says minister

Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee (SRC)—Abdulraqeeb Fatah has denounced Houthi putschist militia's continuous harassments against the UN's agencies and international organizations which operate in relief actions in Yemen.

In a statement the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of, Fatah condemned the Houthi militia's illegal action in which the militiamen stormed the stores of the World Food Program (WFP) in Hodeidah province and kidnapped two of the UN agency's staffs and moving them to unknown location. He described such act as war-crime and in breach of all International and Humanitarian Laws.

The Minister said " Harassments against the international relief organizations while they are doing humanitarian job that Yemeni peoples are in dire need of is considered to be a terrorist act by all accounts ought to be strongly condemned by International community and organizations".

Fatah added" Such savage actions need to be dealt with firmly by the Int'l, every necessary measure should be taken to deter the militia and prevent its interference in the humanitarian and relief organizations' actions".

The Chairman of the SRC called on the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen Lise Grande to condemn these actions, hold the putschist militia accountable for kidnapping the aid workers and act to get them released as soon as possible.
