Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women

The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Hadi stresses imperative of upgrading Central Bank branches

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has stressed the imperative of upgrading the systems of the Central Bank branches with the latest technological features and facilities. In a meeting with the Central Bank's governor Mohammed Zammam, Hadi highlighted the need to revitalize the e-payments service to lessen the use of paper money.

He also stressed the imperative of financing the government's budget deficit from non-inflationary sources, by resorting to the issuance of securities, bonds and Sukuk in coordination with the Finance Ministry.
