MARIB-SABA
A new organization to advocate for the activists captivated, abducted and forcibly disappeared by the Houthi rebel militia has been formed.
The formation of the "Organization for Captives and Abductees" was announced in a ceremony held in Yemen's eastern city of Marib on Sunday.
The organization hopes to widen the civil advocacy campaign against the Houthi abduction and enforced disappearance of oppositionists and to assist the detainees' families financially, healthily and socially.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Governor of Marib for Administrative Affairs, Abdullah al-Bakeri, stressed the importance of organized civil action to uncover the brutal crimes committed by the Houthi militia against the innocent people and civilians who oppose the militia's violent oppression and sectarian bigotry.
