Taiz governor updates Hadi on campaign to crack down on criminals

The governor of Taiz Ameen Mahmoud has updated President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on an ongoing campaign to crack down on criminals in the aftermath of murders of several civilians and most recently an employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

During a phone conversation between them on Monday, Mahmoud told Hadi that a military campaign has been launched by the security authorities under his direct supervision in the city to crack down on the criminals who have been committing a wave of murders against innocent people .

He affirmed the commitment of the authorities to take full control of city to restore it to the control of the government from the hands of Houthi rebels and other militants.

On his part, Hadi stressed the imperative of stepping up efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people in a peaceful decent living. He appreciated the role of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in supporting Yemen in this regard.
