NCIAHRV, JIAT discuss joint coordination, cooperation
The Chairman and members of the National Commission to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations (NCIAHRV) discussed today in the interim capital of Aden with the Chairman and members of the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) in Yemen ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides.

Public Works Minister, Abyan Governor inspect damaged roads

Minister of Public Works and Highways Dr. MaeenAbdulmalik and Governor of Abyan General Abu Bakr Salem inspected on Tuesday a number of roads, industrial establishments and government buildings damaged by wars with al-Qaeda and rebel militias.

They inspected the ongoing work in ba-Tais Cement Plant, a strategic private sector's investment project. Minister Abdulmalik praised the national capital in reviving national economy and providing job opportunities to young people and other basic services related to human livings.

The minister and governor also inspected ba-Tais Road, which links the three districts of Yafe', Sarar, Rasd and Sabah, withAbyan center. The road links alsoAbyan withLahj and Baidha'. They also inspected ongoing work in the al-Zira' Road project in Zinjubar City and preparations for commencing asphalting.

They also visited the closed hall, which is one of the greatest sport projects in the province and damaged by al-Qaeda war in 2011 and byHouthi war in 2015, and the cultural center in Zinjubar, which costs YR.700 million but stopped over the two wars and damaged.

The two officials also inspected situations of the housing compounds assigned to people of limited income at Sheikh Abdullah Village and stopped over the war.

Concluding the inspection visit, Minister Abdulmalik praised efforts of local authority in regaining order and managing development process in the province, noting that Abyan paid the price of this war.

He promised of raising reports on the province's needs to the president and the government for financing maintenance of the damaged and stopped projects.
