Culture Minister briefs VP on efforts to recover lost artifacts

Minister of Culture Marwan Dammaj has briefed Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Salehon the ongoing efforts to recover the lost Yemeni artifactsand manuscripts. Dammaj showed the Vice President a list of those missing artifacts.
He stressed that Houthis' distortion of Yemeni historical landmarks has received wide condemnations. He cited the need for the intervention of the international organizations to save Yemen's heritage.
They discussed the practices of Houthi rebel militia against the Yemeni intellectuals and disfiguring of historical monuments including the Old Sana'a city in such a manner that threatens to make it removed from the world's heritage list.
The Vice President was also briefed on the results of the Culture Ministry's participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair this year after years of absence due to the Houthiinsurgency.
