Security Forces held on Wednesday a shipwas fishing randomly and illegally in the costs of Mahra Province.
Director of Masila District Police General BadrJuma'an told Saba that they were notified by Yahoot Fishing Society that two ships were fishing illegally near the cost and a security force headed to the cost and seized one of the ships while the other fled.
The initial investigations showed that the ship was owned by Broom Fish Company, which owns license in fishing in the province's costs but breaching agreements. The local authority is studying to cancel the contract with the company for breaching some items of the contract.
He made it clear that the Governor of MahraRajeh Ba-Kurait has called concerned authorities for imminent meeting for discussing measures of cancelling the contract after violations proved, praising efforts of security forces for protecting costs against illegal fishing.
He confirmed that the local authority will provide necessary equipment for enabling security forces carrying out their duties as demanded and activating Coast Guard Police.
