[09/01/2018 05:28]

MARIB-SABA
The Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-RabbuMiftah said the role of the international humanitarian organizations in Marib is very limited despite the fact that the government-held province is crammed with 2.5 million internal displaces.

In a speech during a consultative workshop for NGOs, Miftah called on the UN organizations and other humanitarian donors to offer sufficient assistance to the IDPs who need essential and basic assistance for their survival.

He said that the local authority offered and still offers what it can for the IDPs but their needs are beyond the authirity's capacity.

He praised the King Salman Center for Relief, the Emirati Red Crescent and the Kuwait aid agencies for their assistances which mitigate the suffering of thousands of Yemenis who fled a brutal crackdown by the Houthi terrorist militia in their home cities.
