Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi met Thursday with the Swedish ambassador to our country.
The meeting dealt with political and humanitarian situations in Yemen in the wake of the violations committed by the Imamate-Houthi militia in the capital Sana'a recently.
Al-Mikhlafi cited atrocities the militia has embarked on including the assassination of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh and many senior political, military and social dignitary leaders.
Al-Mikhlafi's talks with the Swedish diplomat also touched upon humanitarian crisis and the need for mobilizing more relief efforts to cope with the increasingly growing number of people who are in need for urgent live-saving assistance.
The Swedish ambassador expressed concerns about the implications of the recent events the capital Sana'a has seen. The ambassador affirmed that his government is backing the Yemeni government and it seeks to bring about peace in Yemen through the UN and the Secretary General envoy to Yemen.
