RIYADH-SABA
Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani said on Tuesday that the citizens living in areas controlled by Houthi-Saleh rebel militias are pretty much like hostages.
In a statement to Saba, he said that the rebels have no agenda but to "multiply their bank accounts" at the expense of the impoverished population, pointing the increase they imposed in oil prices in their areas of control.
"There are no justifications for the price increases," he said, adding that they have an abundance of oil products in the oil stations and the backup tanks in the Red Seaport city of Hodeidah.
He called on the international community to pressure on the rebels to stop the starvation policy against the millions of people suffering under their grip.
