Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr inspected on Thursday the ongoing work at Aden Refinery Company at Buraiqa District in the transitional capital of Aden.
He presided over a meeting with the management of the company and discussed with them a number of key issues on the country's work.
Acting Director of the Company Saeed Mohammad presented a review on the projects needed for re-operating the refinery, which has been stopped since 2015 over Houthi-Saleh militias' war on Aden, noting to huge damages hit the refinery over the war and burning one of its fuel tanks.
Bin-Daghr confirmed that his government is working hard, and in implementation of President's directives, to restore the significant development role of the refinery and providing needed capabilities for re-operating it.
" The government is working on supplying the refinery with crude oil as soon as the exporting pipelines are ready in production fields, were improving activities and double efforts are going on in cooperation with producing companies," he said.
On related level, Prime Minister bin-Daghr inspected the power plant of the refinery and was acquainted with details needed for rehabilitating the plant.
He also was acquainted by Acting Director of the Refinery Company Saeed Mohammad with steps of the Chines Company, which took contracts of improving the plant, and finished 15 MW to enter service on February.
