The Zakat revenues the local government from Hadhramout's valley and desert districts in the first half of 2017 amount to YR 55, 878,645, which is YR 13,328,490 up from the corresponding half of the past year.
In a statement to Saba, the Director General of the Zakat Duty office Abdullah Ba-Mahraz attributed the increase to enhanced rates on Zakat payers and the emergence of new tax payers, who were not yet in the market last year.
