Governor of Socotra Ahmad Abdullah al-Socotri inspected Sunday the fish landing center at the capital of the governorate of Hadibo.
Governor al-Socotri toured at the center's facilities and listened to the Director of the General Fishing Authority Sa'ad ba-Ziyad on the activities of the center and the process of buying and selling fish as a main market.
He met with a number of fishers and traders at the center. He was informed on the difficulties facing their activities.
The governor confirmed that the sector is one of the most important ones in the governorate as big number of locals is working in, noting that the local authority will work on facilitating all difficulties facing its activities. The authority will work on operating all facilities to provide services to fishermen.
Governor al-Socotri inspected also inspected the wave wall constructed by the UAE Red Crescent for protecting the center against big waves and sea level rise.
