King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Demining Project in Yemen, known as " MASAM" reported that its demining teams managed to remove 7,444 landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and improvised explosive devices (IED) from the beginning of August up to the 14th.
The Operations Room of MASAM confirmed that 7226 UXO, 137 anti-tanks and 35 anti-personnel landmines and 46 IED were removed. Meanwhile 646,550 square meters of land were cleared.
It is important to note that the technical teams of MASAM the have removed 585,670 of landmines, UXO and IED since the project started at the end of June 2018 until August 14, 2026.
According the Director of MASAM Osama al-Qusaibi 416,952 UXO, 152,422 anti-tank and 7,639 anti-personnel landmines and 8,657 IED were removed.
