Ministry of Foreign Affairs Welcomes International Statements Supporting Leadership Council, Freedom of Navigation, Regional Security

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs welcomed the joint statement issued at the quadrilateral consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Turkey, held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which confirmed the four countries’ firm support for the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and the Yemeni government.

Bahrain Condemns Houthi Attack on Saudi-Operated Vessel in the Red Sea

Bahrain has strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militias against a vessel operated by a Saudi company in the Red Sea, describing the assault as a grave violation of international law and a serious threat to global maritime security.

In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack caused a fire aboard the vessel without resulting in any injuries. It warned that such acts endanger international shipping, disrupt global trade, and threaten the security of energy supplies, in violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The ministry reaffirmed Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and voiced support for all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, national security, stability, and vital interests.
