Yemen Wins Governing Board Seat on Pandemic Fund

The Republic of Yemen has been selected to hold the full seat representing the Middle East and Central Asia constituency within the investor country category on the Governing Board of the Pandemic Fund for the term spanning June 2026 to May 2028.

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaibeh said in a statement to Saba that Yemen’s selection reflects the confidence of countries across the region in its ability to represent the interests of the constituency on the Fund’s Governing Board.

Dr. Buhaibeh noted that Yemen will carry out its responsibilities through a spirit of partnership and consultation, advancing priorities related to global health security, pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, while supporting the needs of the most vulnerable countries.
