A Republican Decree, No. (1) of 2026, was issued on Wednesday, establishing a Cardiac and Vascular Diseases and Kidney Transplant Center in Taiz governorate.

The decree, comprising 25 articles across five chapters, outlines the center's objectives, duties, and administrative structure. Chapters one and two define the center's name, objectives, and competencies, while chapters three and four address administration and financial resources.

The decree's general provisions aim to strengthen the center's role in providing specialized medical services in cardiology, vascular diseases, and kidney transplantation at the national level.

The decree takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette, marking a significant development in Yemen's healthcare infrastructure.
