South Korea's exports in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry rose 12.4 percent to a record high in 2025, due to strong demand from the artificial intelligence industry.

The Ministry of Science and ICT reported that ICT exports amounted to $264.2 billion last year, compared to $235 billion in 2024.

Imports in this industry increased 5.8 percent to $151.2 billion during the same period, resulting in a trade surplus of $113 billion.
