The Head of the Coast Guard authority Maj. General Khalid al-Qamli discussed today, Thursday, with the Commander of the French Forces in Djibouti Maj. General Sébastien Valette joint cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the fields of maritime security, combating smuggling, exchanging expertise and enhancing the operational and technical capabilities of the Coast Guard forces
General al-Qamali praised French government significant assistance for Yemen in building its maritime and security capabilities, underlining the need for more cooperation and joint training programs.
Al-Qamali also met with the with the Commander of the European Union (EU) Force (Aspides) in Djibouti, Brigadier General Andrea Condamatio.
They discussed the prospects of cooperation with regional and international partners in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
