Governor of Aden confers with Chinese official over bilateral relations

The Minister of State and Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas discussed today, Friday, with the Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Shanghai, Shao Chi Qing ways to boost bilateral relations between the two countries and the revival of the twinning anniversary between the cities of Aden and Shanghai.

Lamlas celebrated the robust Yemeni-Chinese historical relations, highlighting the Yemeni government's keenness to strengthen the partnership with the Chinese friends and to activate the twinning agreement between Aden and Shanghai.

The Chinese official affirmed his country's willingness to provide the necessary support and contribute to the development of the city of Aden.

The delegation toured the premises of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Shanghai to be introduced to the experience of 'comprehensive democracy' and the consultation and decision-making mechanisms in China.
