Korea records above $12 billion in current account surplus in December

Korea had made more than $12 billion in current account surplus in December, the highest figure ever recorded in December and the third-highest monthly figure.

The Korean central bank said the current account surplus was $12.37 billion in December, after a surplus of $10.05 billion in November.

He added that in the whole of 2024, Korea achieved a current account surplus of £99.04 billion, a significant increase compared to $32.82 billion in 2023, exceeding the government's forecast of $90 billion.
