Masam Project Clears 2,108 Houthi-Laid Mines in One Week
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s Masam Project for clearing mines in Yemen removed 2,108 landmines and explosive remnants of war during the fourth week of January 2026, which had been planted by the Houthi terrorist militias in several governorates.

MASAM removes 618 Houthis-laid landmines in a week

King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center (KSrelief) Demining Project in Yemen known as "MASAM" managed to remove 618 of landmines and unexploded ordnances (UXO) in the fourth week of November 2024, all planted and left by the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias in different Yemeni regions.

The Center reported that MASAM's deminers pulled out 23 anti-tanks landmines and removed 594 UXO from several regions in Yemen.

It is important to note that MASAM removed 471,034 of landmines, UXO and explosive devices since it has started its demining mission in 2018.
