The Canadian government designated today, Monday, the Houthi terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime in the list of terrorist organizations as a terrorist entity under the Criminal Code.
Canada's Minister of Public Safety, Democratic Institutions and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dominique LeBlanc, said in a statement that "The Government of Canada has designated Ansar Allah, commonly referred to as the Houthis, as a terrorist entity under the Criminal Code."
The statement published by the Ministry of Public Safety noted that the Houthi militias have contributed to the unrest in the Middle East through numerous attacks targeting civilian and naval ships on the Red Sea and other waterways.
