Yemen's UN Permanent Representative Ambassador Abdullah al-Saadi, held separate discussions with the permanent representatives of Greece, Somalia, Denmark, and Pakistan here yesterday over means of enhancing the bilateral cooperation with their countries.
Al-Saadi recounted the political developments and the economic and humanitarian circumstances in Yemen, and the endeavors to broker peace, in addition to developments in the region, ways to enhance security and stability, and the important role that these friendly states can play through their membership in the Security Council to advance the peace process in Yemen and support political settlement efforts to resolve the conflict and mitigate the humanitarian crisis of the Yemenis.
He affirmed the Yemeni government's adherence to the option of peace and to support all regional and international efforts meant to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace that fulfills the ambitions of the people, as per the agreed-upon terms of reference for political settlement.
