The Deputy Governor of Hadramout governorate Amer al-Ameri highly praised the EU's interest in aiding the local authority to build-up its institutional capacities in order to support the sustainable development efforts in the governorate.
He voiced his remark during his conversations today, Monday, with the EU's official Waleed Abdel Shafi who is visiting the governorate.
Al-Ameri and Abdel Shafi discussed the progress of the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY) Project, funded by the EU and implemented by the UNDP.
The project is aiming at increasing support to local authorities to access and improve public services and promote social cohesion and sustainable recovery.
