Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahsani held discussions today, Sunday, with the American Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking over the latest political and military developments in Yemen.
The UN-led efforts to establish peace and security was key focus of the conversations.
Al-Bahsani put blame on the Houthi terrorist militias for prolonging the conflict, calling on the international community to mount pressures upon the militias to stop the escalation, deal constructively with the peace proposals to end war, establish peace.
The member of the PLC underscored the importance of the continuation of the international support for the PLC and the government to help addressing the security and humanitarian challenges created by the Houthi militias.
He highly praised American support for the ongoing efforts to make peace, greatly appreciating the substantial support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to the Yemeni people at this difficult stage.
The American envoy reiterated his administration's support for the PLC and the internationally recognized government's efforts to end the war, establish peace and stability in Yemen and the region.
