The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held a meeting Today, Thursday, presided over by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the presence of its members Aidarous al-Zubaidi, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Mujalli and via video conference Tariq Saleh and Abdul Rahman al-Mahrami, while Council members Sultan al-Aradah and Faraj al-Bahsani were absent with excuse.

Increase in non-oil and governmental activities in Saudi Arabia in 2Q of 2024

Non-oil and government activities in Saudi Arabia during the second quarter of this year recorded an increase of 4.4 percent and 3.6 percent, respectively, while real GDP decreased by 0.4 percent compared to the second quarter of 2023, affected by the decline in oil activities by 8.5 percent.

The results of the bulletin of rapid estimates of the real GDP growth rate, issued by the General Authority for Statistics and published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), showed that the seasonally adjusted real GDP achieved during the second quarter of 2024 a growth of 1.4 percent compared to what it was in the first quarter of the same year.
