Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women
The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Moreover, Dr. Ahd Mohammed Salem Jaasous was appointed Minister of Local Administration, becoming the first woman to take on this ministry since the establishment of the republic.

The Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that it is very important to implement the two-state solution to achieve peace in the Middle East.

The Chinese News Agency (Xinhua) quoted Jinping as saying" Middle East is a land enjoys wide prospects for development but the war is still waging there since last October and it causes huge suffering".

Jiping made his statement as delivered a keynote speech at the plenary session of the 10th Session of Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum.

The Chinese President noted that his country is strongly backing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty with the borders of 1967, with the East al-Quds as its capital.

He also confirmed that China supports the full membership of the Palestine state in the UN and holding international peace conference that is more wide in scope and more reliable and effective .
