Al-Bahsani: Universities must contribute toward analyzing problems, drawing development plans

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahsani highlighted the significant role of the universities and research centers in the development process.

He said " Universities and research centers have an important role they need to undertake besides teaching, they ought to conduct studies on political, economic and social problems, provide in-depth and scientific analyses, recommendations and solutions that can help policymakers to draw sustainable and comprehensive development plans and strategies".

He voiced his remark during his conversations today, Tuesday, in the city of Mukalla, with the rectors and representatives of the public and private-owned universities in Hadramout governorate.

The PLC's member held a dinner banquet for the rectors and professors of the universities in Hadramout.

Al-Bahsani noted that the PLC is keen to provide the universities and reaches centers to enable them doing their job duly and provide scientific studies that can help the PLC, the government and local authorities make the appropriate decisions in different fields.
