Yemen’s Ambassador to France Dr. Riyad Yasin met Friday with Yaël Menaché, the Chairman of the French-Yemeni Friendship Group in the French National Assembly and MP Jocelyn Dessigny.

The meeting discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and developments in Yemen and the region, including the Houthi threats to security in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and international shipping.

Yasin also highlighted Iranian support for the Houthis and called for stronger international efforts to combat arms smuggling and financing networks.

He expressed appreciation for France’s support for the Yemeni government and its role in protecting maritime security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.

Menaché reaffirmed the group’s interest in strengthening relations with Yemen.

Both sides agreed to maintain coordination and enhance parliamentary and bilateral cooperation.
