The Council of Ministers has decided practical measures to handle irregularities and loopholes at the land and seaports entries within the course of the comprehensive reforms program the government has embarked on.
In its session today, Thursday, in the interim capital Aden, presided over by Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak the Cabinet has directed Ministers of Defense, Finance, Interior, Transports, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Fishery, Water and Environment, the Heads of the Political Security Organization and National Security Organization and the Heads of government's bodies in charge to carry out immediately the rotating replacement of all headships and staff who are operating in the land and seaports.
The Cabinet set out one month to get these missions done. Ministers of Defense, Transports and Finance are assigned to report about the progress in this regard regularly.
The Cabinet has approved a draft bill about addressing the loopholes in military and security areas at the land and seaports entries.
Ministers of Defense and Interior and Heads of security services in charge are ordered to provide the land and seaports entries with well-trained and specialists security forces, equipped with the necessary sources to do their job sufficiently.
The Cabinet also has approved a draft bill about amending the deficiencies in the infrastructure of the land and seaports entries.
A draft bill about the internal bylaw to control currencies, precious metals and gems smuggling was also endorsed by the Cabinet.
The Council of Ministers reiterated the government's commitment to the peace option and to deal constructively with the UN-sponsored road map to establish peace in Yemen as well as to support the Saudi-led efforts in this regard.
