The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badhib, discussed today, in the temporary capital, Aden, with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Yemen the needs of the various government sectors within the humanitarian response plan.
Minister Badhib affirmed the government's keenness to carry out its duties and responsibilities in order to improve public conditions, basic services and living conditions for citizens, despite the current difficult challenges in the country due to the war and economic conditions.
He praised the efforts and contributions of UNICEF through interventions and providing funding in several sectors, especially health, water, cash transfers, and social protection in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
