Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak contributed today, Monday, to the 18th Extraordinary Session of the Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which devoted to discuss the recurrent incidents of desecration of the book of the Holy Qura'n.

The Minister reiterated Yemen's condemnation of the desecration of copies of the Holy Qura'n by racist extremists in Swede and Denmark.

He stated that the deliberately provocative actions against the Muslims around the words must be prevented and perpetrators need to be held accountable for their wrongdoings.

He said" The desecration of copies of the book of the Holy Qura'n is an expression of hatred and religious bigotry which is inconsistent with the conventions of human rights…".

BinMubarak called on the two governments of Sweden and Denmark to differentiate between the freedom of expression and the promotion of the hatred rhetoric and actions, take necessary measures to stop the extremists' provocative actions".
