Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Othman Mujalli, met today, Saturday, with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to our country, Muhammad Hamad Al Zaabi.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the support provided by the UAE in the economic, development and humanitarian aspects.
Mujalli appreciated the fraternal positions of the political leadership in the UAE represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the State, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers, the sheikhs and brotherly people of the Emirates, appreciating their support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the Yemeni people, in the face of The Houthi militia.
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed that the Yemeni people appreciate the efforts made by the United Arab Emirates within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to restore the state and achieve security and stability, according to the three references represented in the Gulf initiative and its implementation mechanism, and the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, And the relevant UN and international resolutions, specifically Resolution 2216.
Majali stressed that the peace sought by the Yemeni people to end the violence, fighting and wars that the Houthis started with the support of Iran in 2004 in Saada governorate and continued until the storming of the capital, Sana'a, in September 2014, is still a strategic choice for legitimacy and in a manner that meets the aspirations of the people and is consistent with the references and ends the militia's control over the capital, Sana'a. .
Mujalli pointed out that the terrorist Houthi militia continues its military escalation and besieging the Yemeni people by targeting oil facilities, preventing merchants and businessmen from importing through ports, besieging gas locomotives in Marib, imposing royalties and restrictions on business, looting salaries and confiscating rights, the latest of which is the money and deposits of citizens in the commercial banks in Sana'a after they were frozen for eight years, which confirms the continuation of these militias in their extremist approach, which deepens the suffering of the Yemenis.
In turn, the Emirati ambassador expressed his happiness at the meeting, and noted the depth of the fraternal relations and ties enjoyed by the Yemeni and Emirati peoples, stressing the keenness of the leadership in the United Arab Emirates to stand with the Yemeni people at various stages.
