Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah, discussed today, in two separate meetings with the new director of the ICRC office in the governorate, Abduljalil Abdullah, and the head of the mission of MSF-Holland in Yemen, Isaac Al-Kaldi, the humanitarian interventions of the two organizations in the governorate, and the mechanism for strengthening the partnership between the local authority and the two organizations in the field of relief aid and basic services.
Miftah welcomed the new director of the International Committee of the Red Cross office in the governorate, and heard from him an explanation about the progress of the implemented and ongoing programs and humanitarian interventions of the Committee of the Red Cross in the areas of food security, relief and health by providing food baskets and cash support to the neediest families, supporting farmers and health facilities, in addition to rehabilitating some water and humanitarian services projects for prison inmates, in coordination with the competent offices and agencies.
Miftah also listened to an explanation from the head of MSF-Holland about the organization's health interventions and the importance of strengthening them in a way that contributes to the development of the health situation and helps improve medical services.
