Yemen participated today in the fifth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, held in the Omani capital, Muscat.
Yemen's delegation was headed by the country's Minister of Industry and Trade, member of the Committee, Muhammad Al-Ashwal.
The meeting discussed the agenda, the report of the Standardization Authority on the progress of work, and the memorandum of the presidency of the authority regarding the adoption of the Gulf technical regulations and their amendments, and the approval of the project to establish the Gulf Accreditation Center to enhance integration between accreditation centers at the regional level, while ensuring that there is no conflict with them.
