Aden – Saba
The exchange of 318 detainees between the government and the Houthi militia was completed, under the joint auspices of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, within the framework of the Switzerland agreement concluded between the two sides last month.
A statement by the International Committee of the International Red Cross stated that 69 detainees arrived at Aden International Airport in two batches, led by Major General Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Major General Nasser Mansour Hadi, who are covered by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2016 AD, while 249 detainees arrived in Sana'a. Al-Subaihi, Hadi, and the detainees were received upon their arrival in Aden, by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, the Minister of State, Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas, and a number of ministers, officials, and military and security leaders.
The process of exchanging detainees will continue during the next two days through the airports of Abha, Riyadh, Mocha, Ma'rib and Sana'a, including the four journalists unjustly sentenced to death.
