His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council ( stated that the Presidential Council and Government are keenly interested in getting all the detainees re- union with their families, putting an end of this protracted humanitarian suffering.
His Excellency made his comment during his conversations today, Wednesday, with the Head of the government's negotiator team Yahya Kazman and the team's members who are charged with the detainees' file.
The negotiators detailed the President on the outcomes of the recent discussions between the Yemeni government and Houthi militia over the detainees.
The negotiations guided by the UN and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held in the Switzerland's capital Bern.
The negotiations produced an agreement on action-plan to release 181 of the detainees, abductees and enforced disappearances held in the jails of Iran-allied Houthi militias.
President al-Alimi stressed that it is very important for the UN and International Community to move forward to get the agreed on exchange deal accomplished, resume the efforts to release the remaining detainees in line with the rule all for all.
