His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Monday, the Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) Gabriel Vinals and the Royal Netherlands Kingdom Peter- Derrk-Hof.
The session intended to discuss the developments in the Yemeni national area and regional and international efforts to renew the truce and build-up on to reach a road map for the comprehensive and fair peace in Yemen.
The European Ambassadors briefed the President on the outcomes of their contacts and consultations with the regional allies and international partners and the required interventions to revive the peace track and alleviate the humanitarian suffering created by the Iranian-backed Terrorist Houthi militias
His Excellency the President praised the EU's support the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, appreciated the EU's pledges in the donors conference to finance the Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen.
He also deeply appreciated the Netherlands' significant efforts to rescue Safer Oil Tanker to avert a looming unbearable environmental disaster in the Red Sea.
