Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, discussed with the Acting Japanese Ambassador, Kazuhiro Higashi, ways to raise the level of cooperation and support of the Japanese government for the transport sectors, especially the ports of the liberated areas in Yemen.
The Minister of Transport praised the strong relations between the two friendly countries, praising the support of the Japanese government to Yemen since the seventies of the last century, especially the port sector, referring to the humanitarian catastrophe that Yemen is experiencing due to the war of the terrorist Houthi militia and its dire consequences on the economy, as it put about 80% of Yemenis under Poverty line and also destroyed the infrastructure and institutions and disrupted investment, development and economy in the country.
